You Are Meant For So Much More

It’s a new year which means new beginnings!
I remember thinking around this time last year that I wasn’t sure what my purpose was. I was in the day in and day out shuffle of work and school. Living in the mundane left me feeling empty.
I wanted to know what my purpose was in life.
I felt that I was meant to be doing so much more.
One day I was having coffee with a friend and I shared to her how I was feeling. I remember she told me these words that made an impact. We all have a purpose in life and the beauty of it is that we get the joy of discovering of what that purpose is. Hearing that gave me a new realization that even though I may not know what my purpose is at this very moment, I have this amazing opportunity to learn what it is.
I'm learning to be more present in the moment.
Finding beauty and magic in the ordinary things. When I say magic, I don’t mean fairy tales or spells. I mean living a life that is rich and fulfilling. Enjoying the little things such as seeing the leaves change during the fall, or enjoying a cup of apple cider (my very favorite!). Connecting and building relationships with people. Embracing all aspects of this crazy journey we call life.
Opening yourself up to a new perspective leads to transformation. My mind and heart began to change. I began to surrender my heart so I was able to be an active participant in receiving God’s love and grace.
It made me realize that God has an amazing plan for me, and he plans to lift me up and experience his magic of living an extraordinary life.
I know to some this may sound silly but fully embracing the magic and beauty of the ordinary leaves me feeling in awe and wonder. An appreciation for life that makes it worth living. I’m excited to see what 2017 has to offer and I looking forward to sharing my journey.
Let’s toast to the new year by being more intentional, present, and loving ourselves and others deeply.
